OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
THESE ARE OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, SO WE THOUGHT WE’D BUNDLE THEM UP FOR YOU.
All the most pertinent information, in one spot. Just for you.
Cultured meat is meat crafted at the cellular level, without the need for green pastures and, well, the animal itself — it’s Forged, not farmed. With cell culturing, we start with just a small sample of an animal and only grow the bits you want to eat over the course of 79 days.
How?
Well, we handpick the finest cells from nature, carefully isolating them for their unique and delicate flavour notes that make our meats so unique. We then grow and harvest our meat in small-batches, passing it along to our chefs and food scientists — to be crafted into meat with entirely unexpected flavours.
It’s not vegan, it’s not vegetarian, it’s real meat — but, with that said, no animals are harmed in the creation of Forged products.
Firstly, Forged prioritises quality across all our production processes. Above all else, we are committed to making safe, healthy food that people love to eat — right here (or there) in Sydney, Australia.
Both The Food Standards Australia New Zealand and The Singapore Food Agency have independently assessed our entire product and process from start to end and determined it to be safe for our (and your) moreish consumption.
But, you’re always welcome to come in or chat with us if you have any concerns — or, if you’re looking for some bedtime reading, our safety assessment documentation is publicly available.
We’re being plating, served, and devoured in both Australia and Singapore. Everywhere else? Well, we’re working on it. Check back in soon.
If you’re ready to take a bite of something you’ve never tasted before, check our map — a couple clicks, and you’ll be booking a table at one of our restaurant partners.

Are you ready to see Forged come past your pass? Great, we’ve never met a pass we didn’t pass. So, you should definitely get in touch.
You make one mammoth meatball and everyone wants to eat it (...including us).
Unfortunately, excluding the fact it's an exhibit at Nemo, a science museum in the Amsterdam, it’s not safe for human consumption.
Why? We used literally, centuries old DNA. That’s why.
